Clarke County Arrest Records & Warrants
Figuring out whether or not there is an arrest warrant out in your name can be of tantamount importance. Because the method by which you are brought in for that arrest warrant can directly impact your ultimate sentencing, it can often be better to turn yourself in rather than wait until you are apprehended at a traffic stop. First, however, you have to know whether or not there is a warrant out for you.
The best place to begin is at the Clarke County Sheriff’s Office. Unfortunately, like most other counties in Alabama, Clarke County does not provide an online listing of active warrants. The Sheriff’s webpage is located at http://www.clarkecountyal.com/sheriff.htm, and their office is located at PO Box 913, Grove Hill, AL. The office may be reached at telephone at (251)275-8132.
You should be aware that although the Sheriff’s Office will be able to tell you whether or not you have a warrant in your name, they may require you to visit the station in person. Obviously, you may be arrested if you do this, so it is best to speak with a criminal defense attorney first.
Alternatively, you could contact the Clarke County Circuit Clerk’s Office, whom also has access to these records and warrants. Their webpage is located at http://www.clarkecountyal.com/circuit_clerk.htm. Open from 8:00AM to 5:00PM, their address is PO Box 921, Grove Hill, AL. They may be reached via telephone at (251)275-3363.
