Covington County Arrest Records and Warrants

Unlike many counties in Alabama, Covington County provides a series of different websites that are capable of facilitating the easy acquisition of information regarding just about anything, from arrest records to court information.

However, the Covington County Sheriff’s Office does not provide an online listing of active arrest warrants for the county. In order to access those, or to find out if there is a warrant in your name, you will have to contact the Sheriff’s Office yourself. You can reach them by telephone by dialing (334)428-2640, or by visiting their main office at 290 Hillcrest Drive, Andalusia, AL 36420.

The Covington County Sheriff’s Department does provide a listing of all of the most wanted fugitives of Covington County. To access this page, you can visit http://www.covingtonso.com/wanted/felony.html for felony fugitives, or http://www.covingtonso.com/wanted/worthlesschecks.html for worthless check fugitives. Additionally, to request or provide any information about fugitives you can email the Sheriff’s Office Wanted Department at [email protected].

The Alabama Department of Corrections provides an online database of all persons whom are currently imprisoned in Alabama, as well as a suite of statistics concerning crime and imprisonment in the state. The Inmate Search Tool can be accessed at http://www.doc.state.al.us/inmsearch.asp. The DOC’s statistics page, which details a very wide variety of different pieces of data, can be accessed at http://www.doc.state.al.us/reports.asp.

Finally, the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center also provides a set of statistics concerning crime and imprisonment in Alabama, and an overview can be accessed at http://acjic.state.al.us/crime.cfm#cia.
