Coffee County Court Records Search

Unfortunately, Coffee County is like many other counties in Alabama. Although it has an Internet presence which can be accessed at http://www.coffeecounty.us/, Coffee County does not provide an online database of active warrants, currently imprisoned individuals, or an active, searchable database of court records. Due to this, other means must be taken to find the records you’re looking for.

Before you begin, you need to determine what type of court record you are looking for – civil, criminal, tax, and so on.

If you are looking for civil court records, then you should begin by getting ahold of the Coffee County Probate. Thankfully, the Probate Office maintains an active webpage which is located at http://www.probateoffice.info/default.asp, and it details the various functions of the court. Although this website details the steps you must take to do certain things, it does not provide court records. You may wish to contact the probate office by telephone at (334)897-2211, or through visiting them in person at 230 Court Ave #P, Elba.

If the records you are looking for are criminal in nature, then you should contact the Coffee County Circuit Clerk’s Office. Although they do not have a webpage, you can get ahold of them via telephone at (334)897-2954. You may need to explain why you are looking for certain types of records, but the Circuit Clerk should be able to help you in your search.

Should you still not have found the information that you were looking for, then you ought to get in contact with the Alabama Supreme Court and State Law Library’s Reference Desk. Reachable by email at [email protected] and by telephone at (800)236-4069, the Reference Desk will be able to help you investigate nearly any court case that has happened in the state of Alabama.
